The UConn Law Library is closed until further notice. We will continue to follow University directives concerning COVID-19. You can remain updated on University-wide information by visiting https://shs.uconn.edu/coronavirus. While the library will be physically closed, we recognize that your classes and projects are ongoing. Below is a list of some of our services that will remain available, as well as additional resources you can use.
If you’re trying to do research, don’t fret! While physical books may be unavailable, students are able to access a plethora of resources online. Browse our catalog to find our e-resources. Any materials accessible online will be clearly marked with a green “Online access” link that will take you directly to the source.
You may need to log in using your NetID and password. If you experience any issues accessing the online databases and resources, please email email@example.com. Library staff will be monitoring this email, and will address your issue as soon as possible.
And remember, all of our valuable research guides are accessible via our website by clicking on the Research tab on the top right-hand side of the screen and then by clicking on the By Subject or Jurisdiction link in the Research Guides box. Take a look at the Remote Research guide we’ve created to help you access the content you need from the comfort of your home!
Struggling with research? Don’t worry. Anne, Adam, Maryanne, and Tanya will still be available to answer your questions during normal reference hours (Monday – Thursday 10AM – 7 PM and Friday 10 AM – 5 PM). You can send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or ask a question through our chat system. You can even schedule a 1-on-1 meeting, which can be conducted over Webex. Also, don’t forget about our research guides and library catalog for accessing databases, and articles and books online.
Still have questions? That’s okay – this is new territory for everyone. Our Library staff will be available to answer your questions during regular business hours (Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM). Send us an email at email@example.com and we will do our best to help you.
The UConn Law Library is here to help you through these uncertain times. Classes are continuing online and research will go on. Stay safe, wash your hands, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
